Program Details
The Biological Manufacturing Technician certificate provides knowledge and skills needed for employment and career in the life science industry, particularly in biomanufacturing. Students gain skills through training and practice in an environment that emphasizes bioscience industry standards, including adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), working in a regulated environment, and quality practices. Students work on real-world projects which are all hands-on and include production of biological products for a customer, scientific sampling, analysis, and data collection. Those completing this certificate are well-prepared for work in biotechnology, biomanufacturing, and other life science industries, including cannabis. The Biological Manufacturing Technician certificate is also useful for gaining laboratory employment.
