Business Administration 2.0

Associate in Science in Business Administration for Transfer Degree 2.0 will help individuals achieve their academic and career goals by developing skills to analyze business scenarios and use numerical, graphical, symbolic, and verbal representations to effectively solve problems and communicate those solutions. Students will be able communicate economic effects, effectively convey financial information, and explain social, political, and ethical implications of business decision-making. Completion of this two-year degree program will prepare students for success in a baccalaureate degree in Business with lower-division coursework required to transfer into the California State University (CSU) system. Upon successful completion of the AS-T in Business Administration, students are guaranteed admission to the CSU system, but not to a particular campus or major. Students transferring to a CSU campus that does accept this degree will be required to complete no more than 60 units after transfer to earn a bachelor's degree. The AS-T may not be the best option for students intending to transfer to a particular CSU campus or to a university or college that is not part of the CSU system. The associate degree for transfer AS-T requires completion and certification of the California General Education Transfer Curriculum (CalGETC) as well as the specific AS-T major degree requirements. Students planning to transfer should contact a counselor to identify major coursework that can be used to fulfill GE requirements and for more information on college-specific transfer program requirements. Pursuant to SB1440, section 66746, a student must complete the following requirements in order to earn an AS-T in Business Administration 2.0: • Completion of 60 semester units or 90 quarter units of degree-applicable courses, • Minimum overall grade point average of 2.0, • Minimum grade of “C” (or “P”) for each course in the major, and • Completion of CalGETC certification.
