Program Details
The Digital Film Production program prepares students for entry-level positions in the film and media production industries. Students will be encouraged to use their creativity to create original and engaging film projects. They will receive training in digital film and video camera operations, digital editing, motion-graphics, scriptwriting, lighting, sound recording, web integration, and production management. Students will also create an online portfolio of their creative work to share with potential employers. A certificate of achievement may be earned by completing all the courses required for this major with a grade of C or better.

- Create a professional online portfolio reel to use in seeking employment.
- Demonstrate a basic proficiency in the use and operation of digital film production equipment including cameras, sound, grip, and lighting gear.
- Demonstrate an understanding of day-to-day workflow and operations on a film set.
- Organize, edit and color-correct a finished digital film project utilizing computer post-production software.
- Organize, schedule, budget, and manage a short film production through all phases of the production process (pre-production, production, post-production).
- Write professionally formatted synopses, breakdowns, schedules and scripts for various types of media including film, multimedia/web and television.
